Mrs. Clark received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of California, Riverside. She then went on to receive a Master of Arts in English Literature and Certificate in Africana Studies from Claremont Graduate University. Due to her love for learning and desire to teach she entered the Teacher Education Program at Claremont Graduate University and obtained a Master of Arts in Education.

Mrs. Clark’s educational philosophy is that every student has seeds of potential within them and that her role is to help those seeds grow into their full potential. As an educator her mission is to cultivate a student’s potential by creating learning spaces that focus on community, interdependence and future-oriented education. Mrs. Clark believes the decision she made to become a teacher has everything to do with a calling to embark upon a journey that would change her life and the lives of the youth she will have the honor of working with.

Mrs. Clark chose Savant because she understood the importance and impact of Black educators in the lives of Black students. She knew that she wanted to be the representation in the classroom that she did not always see in primary and secondary school. She is grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the scholars at Savant Preparatory Academy of Business.
